Effective Public Communication - Week 11
50 Words Essay:
Overcoming problems of working in small group
When working with a small group, it means more work needed to be done and if someone slack off, it’ll surely slow down the group. The leader needs to prevent this and make sure to order them to do their given roles equally. Team work is definitely important as well.

Effective Public Communication - Week 10
50 Words Essay:
Facebook Friends
People these days are focus mainly on how many Facebook friends they have. The more the merrier. Some of them are just strangers they never met before. Just because that person has ‘mutual friends’ with others, doesn’t mean they need to be friends with them too. It’s something very unnecessary.

Three things I need to improve on my presentation.
I just had done my worse presentation in my life. I can’t speak; I can’t say words properly and clear. It was terrifying. I remember someone told me that to improve a presentation skill is by making our own speech beforehand, try to memorize it and practice it out loud.

Final Assignment - Greeting Card
Right after we done presenting the colour wheel group assignment, Ms.Lisa had told us about our final assignment, making a greeting card. She said that we will have to design 3 theme based greeting cards and as for the theme, we are free to choose anything. As usual, we would need to think about 3 or more theme and sketch it out to Ms.Lisa via facebook(since next week is a holiday).
This assignment is due in 3 weeks.
7.8.2014, week 17
On the second week, we work on our cards while Ms.Lisa gave some comments and help with those who need she advice.
She told me she wanted to see some of the layouts I'm going to do for my cards. When I did, she suggested me to focus on painting instead. The idea was to keep it simple.
The paper I'm using is a 300g watercolour paper.
I use everything with paints, except for the fonts. I choose those specific colours because I don't want it to be just my illustration but also part of my personalities, since its my favourite colour combination. I also put a little gold paint to make it more glamorous.
The hardest part of making this is to make sure the paint is neat and doesn't splat into the background. it was tricky, but I did my best trying to avoid it.
Making the envelope was tricky as well, I had to do it couple of times as prototype.

My final work:
First Greeting Card
Second Greeting Card
Third Greeting Card
Feedback:
Ms. Lisa was pleased with my cards. She was glad that I keep it simple in the end. She told me that even if it’s simple, it seem high class. She even asked me if I did the fonts myself, and I answered yes. She said I did a wonderful job.
Thank you Ms.Lisa
I was quite shocked that she likes my cards because I thought my cards was not as great as other of my course mates. I think mine was pretty simple. But Ms.Lisa likes it, I'm glad. Even though, I'm still can't believe it myself what happened. It was really unexpected.
This made me realize that my kind of style is simple yet elegant. Even if I feel insecure after seeing others amazing artwork, I need to tell myself that, it's ok, everyone have their own talents. It might not a bad thing if I try it out myself first beforehand, to see my own limitation but I would love to be adventurous and explore more into the world of art and designing.

Eris= Coloured Rice
Sclera= Polystyrene(cut into chunks)
Eyelashes= Paper Plates spray with black paint and Feathers from a feather duster
Tears= Crayons
Extra= Black Tissue paper
The eye represent what we see around us. The world is not in black and white, it filled with so much colours and emotion. The tears on the the other hand was a symbol of happiness, because not all tears are related to sadness.
After seeing others group work, I feel like it would be better if our work is in 3D as well.
However, I was quite satisfied with what it look like in the end.
