Progression on Project - Theme Based: Presentation of 5 Images in Printed Form
Lecture:
Today’s class, Mr. Vinod gave back individual feedbacks of our progression with the final project. After that, Mr. Vinod told us about our Learning Style Inventory results, the test we did before (at my previous blog post). Mr. Vinod explained to us what it is all really about and answers some question based on it. After everyone understands, he started talking about our Learning Style Inventory results. Since we did the test twice, on week 1 and week 10, Mr. Vinod told us to observe those two results and compare it (at my previous blog post). The reason he wanted us to re-take the test and compare the results was to show how we had changed since before and till now. Mr. Vinos also explained to us what each columns means, making everything easy to understand. After the discussions, Mr. Vinod told us what we going to do for the next 2 week. We would need to find photography from the 1940s to 1950s. We are going to dress up similar with the photo we choose and take a self-portrait. At the same time, Mr. Vinod will show us how to manage the studio and the lightning as well. Before the class was dismissed, he took us to the studio for a quick look and he briefly explain to us some of the equipment as well the studio rules.

Feedback :
Specific feedback:
Mr. Vinod said that he likes the shot I took with the sunlight on top but it would had been better if I crop the bottom part a little. He also said that the others photo is still lacking something. However, he said my exposure was good. He even told me that I would need to shoot more than once a week if I wanted to be an active learner. He also did mention that I would need to work harder on it and think about how to make it more interesting.

Reflection:
Experience:
Based on the results I get from the Learning Style Inventory and also Learning Style Inventory. I began to notice what type of person I am. I’m glad that Mr. Vinod asked us to do the test; it makes it easier to know what type of person you are and a better understanding about ourselves.
For this week progression, I try to experiment with different kind of scene based on my theme. Even though, I’m still a bit uncertain about it but I’d tried my best. This time, I went to different place and I was able to explore a bit more than usual. Yet again, I enjoy wandering around to take photo. There was a time when I’m taking a photo, I had to do it quickly because something smell very bad around that area, my dad said it smell like a dead animal. At first, I thought that I won’t mind the smell for a while but later on, I can’t seem to stand it and went somewhere else instead.

Observation:
After understanding more about the test we took before, I came to realize what type of person I was. It was surprising at the same time because I was quite unaware about myself. This gives me the opportunity to actually knowing myself even more and what type of person I really am. I even notice some of my classmates were shocked with the results they gets because they can’t believe it. It seem like I’m not the only one in the class.
As for my project progression, I notice that by going to different places, there’s more kind of scene to explore. The trees looks different and as well as the scenery. I also realize that even if the scene looks nice, I can’t seem to be able to find the perfect angle, and it took so long for me to actually get the perfect angle.

Findings:
Understanding yourself better helps us a lot more in the way we learn. Seeing the results from the test and with Mr. Vinod explain to us what it is, everyone seen to finally realizing the type of person they really are.
I still think my photo is lacking something but I will still try to explore other place and get motivation by other photography of the same theme. Nothing is easy in this world; we would need to try harder and harder and of course, to never give up. Based on my theme, I would need to go and explore more other places as well. I would also still need to study the angle of the natural sunlight coming from even more. I hope that in the future I will be able to do better.

Additional Information:
Because I had a bit of extra time, I tried to take a few shots of my cat, since Animal(Cats) was my second theme.
After that, I began to realize that mostly every theme is not as easy as I thought it would be. It was challenging but I had fun.
